Today I wanted to share with you the incredible power of your beliefs in shaping your health and reality.
As a neurostructural chiropractor, high level coach and curious soul of all things health, mindset & supernatural, I’ve witnessed firsthand how our beliefs impact what we manifest in our lives, especially in our physical health.
Today, I wanted to deep dive into how your beliefs affect your health and provide some tips on how to align your beliefs with your truest desires.
Our beliefs are the lens through which we perceive the world and ourselves. They are formed by our experiences, upbringing, culture, and environment, and they influence our thoughts, emotions, and actions.
Some beliefs are SUPER helpful,
And some, possibly most….are complete BS and best belong in the trash.
For example, let me provide an analogy…if you are wearing rose coloured lenses, everywhere you look, you will see a tint of ROSE. Yes?
If you are wearing glasses that have blue coloured lenses, everywhere you look, you will see a tint of BLUE.
Makes sense right?
So when it comes to manifestation and your health, your beliefs can either support or hinder your efforts.
If you believe that you are worthy, deserving, and capable of achieving your desires, you align your energy with them and reflect that into your reality.
You see, you do not manifest what you desire, you manifest WHO YOU ARE.
On the other hand, if you hold limiting beliefs, such as…
“I’m not good enough,”
“It’s because I’m getting old” (I found hearing this one SUPER annoying in my office, as there are hundreds if not thousands of people doing INCREDIBLE things as they age and are healthier in mind, body, soul than most 20-30 year olds)
“I’ll never be healthy, this just is the way it goes”,
“I don’t deserve happiness & health,” or
Maybe your diagnosis or “dis-ease” has now become your identity, something you think you actually are and define yourself as….
then you create resistance to your desires and actually block their manifestation and reflection into your external reality.
You see, what you think, and what you say are SO important in what you are creating. You are more powerful than you even know.
Seriously.
Your beliefs about your health and body impact your immune system, hormones, and nervous system, and can even affect your genetic expression. Google “epigenetics” if you want to learn more.
Studies have shown that people who have positive beliefs about their health, such as “I am healthy and strong,” have better physical health outcomes than those who hold negative beliefs, such as “I am prone to illness and weakness.”
Wild isn’t it?
I saw this first hand in my chiropractic practice.
Those who got injured, and believed they were okay and would heal quickly, often did.
Those who believed that their injury would take forever to heal…often took a lot longer than “normal”.
It was wild to observe.
And what was fascinating…I often felt like I had NO control to influence their outcome, especially if the belief they had was deeply rooted in who they thought they were and what they thought was possible for them.
Our beliefs about our body shape and size also impact our health, as they can influence our eating habits, exercise routine, and overall well-being.
So, how can we align our beliefs with our desires and improve our health and reality? Here are some tips:
1. Cultivate a habit of being present. In presence you can identify your beliefs.
2. Become the observer of your beliefs. Pay attention to your self talk and the stories you tell yourself about your health. And ask yourself, “Is this ultimately true?”. Often, the answer is no. You will likely be able to identify other people in your social circle, or network that don’t have the same experience as you.
3. Reframe your beliefs. This is key. What would you like to believe about yourself and your health and what’s possible for you?
4. Act FROM the place of your new beliefs. Who would you BE and what would you be DOING if you knew that you were healthy, happy, whole and complete? How would you show up each day? Do this…on repeat.
5. If you feel stuck and have a hard time identifying your unhelpful beliefs, or maybe you perceive you have some blindspots, find a mentor or coach. One of the things that I have consistently done in my life is find experts who have already accomplished what I want. They know the most efficient, and effective way to get there…and the “traps” along the way. This will expedite your journey in manifesting what you desire in your life and health.
You ARE an infinite being, with infinite possibilities for the expression of your health and life,
