Since when does Self Care have to involve & include guilt as part of your experience?
It shouldn’t.
Yet it does for so many people.
So many strong, ambitious women (and men!) I have coached with have had such a hard time putting themselves first.
Why is this?
Often, consciously or unconsciously they learned from a past experience, that when they go for what they want, something bad happens,
or someone gets hurt.
Particularly someone they care about.
So they often neglect themselves,
Neglect the voice within,
Neglect their health,
Neglect important aspects of their relationships and what is truly most important to their SOUL.
Until the feedback becomes too intense that they HAVE to take action.
Maybe this feedback shows up in the form of….
>continual fights and arguments in their relationship
>feeling like they are constantly being criticised or are not good enough
>feelings of anxiety, shame & guilt
>a health issue or emergency
>poor sleep
>feelings of unworthiness
>muscle tension and stress
>not taking time for yourself and constantly feeling drained and exhausted at the end of the day
>not having the courage to….ask for a raise, go for their dream job, or take actions they know will get them to that next level
>and the feelings of constantly being STUCK in the same position despite taking all the action
Can you relate to this?
This is all feedback to an underlying core problem of not tuning in,
Not giving yourself, your body, your soul what IT REQUIRES to survive,
Not giving yourself proper SELF CARE that FUELS the SOUL.
GUILT-FREE.
And shifting any LIES that tell you that when you go for what you want, someone else will have to suffer.
And when you shift these beliefs, these emotions, these lies…
You will experience a sense of inner freedom and peace,
That has you feeling inspired, full of energy and a knowingness that confirms you’re “on the right path”.
Luckily, this is actually a solvable problem.
You CAN do your Self Care GUILT FREE,
with more ease, flow and fun.
Because the whole definition in itself is that it is meant to LIFT YOU UP,
Not close you down.
