Your body will NEVER betray you.

February 27, 2023  Dr. Shelby

This may sound like the most wildest concept you have ever heard, especially if you are experiencing challenges in your health,

However, your body will NEVER betray you.

Hold on…I know, I know.

That sounds like a bold statement…

Especially with everything you have gone through….

You might be thinking…

“Yeah, but Dr. Shelby, I have an autoimmune disease”

or

“My sleep is so poor and it’s affecting everything, I’m tired ALL THE TIME”

or

“I have more anxiety that I have ever had before…it just keeps getting WORSE”

or maybe

“I feel so tired all the time, I have no energy, I can barely do what I want anymore”

I hear you.

I have certainly had some challenges with my body and health in moments in my life that were incredibly uncomfortable and that I certainly did not prefer.

What I will say though is,

Our bodies are intelligent.

Beyond what we will ever know, or be able to understand in a lab.

Our body is in fact, MAGNIFICENT, to put it lightly.

And…

Your body is always adapting TOWARDS keeping you in balance. Keeping you healthy.

Keeping you ALIVE.

AND….

Any feedback you receive from your body such as…

Signs of an autoimmune dis-ease

Indigestion

Inability to lose weight

Poor sleep

Pain

etc, etc

Are all just feedback.

NOT a betrayal.

It is feedback to an underlying CORE problem.

Where we tend to fall flat, is that we think our SYMPTOMS are the CORE problem.

Like the gas, poor sleep, anxiety, degeneration, pain….

And we may even think the symptoms are RANDOM.

This is often NOT TRUE.

The symptoms are literally just a signal,

Like an alarm going off when there is a fire.

You would never say the problem IS the ALARM.

You would say the CORE problem is the FIRE.

Right?

Or if you were eating poorly, not exercising and you went to your doctor and they diagnosed you with Diabetes.

What would be the CORE problem?

Would it be the high blood sugar?

No…that is just a SYMPTOM.

The real problem is actually the diet and activity profile.

Feel me?

SO….if you are experiencing symptoms from your body,

Could you see it as feedback,

Acknowledge the beauty and brilliance of your body,

And that it actually WANTS YOU to heal,

Wants you to be whole,

Wants you to have vitality,

Because it really does.

And I do too 🙂

P.S

Well what if this Core problem vs. Symptom analogy could be applied to ANY area of life…

Say your…

Relationships with your partner and children,

Or your financial health,

Or your career.

Or your happiness and focus.

What if what you thought was a problem, was just a symptom,

And by trying to “solve” and “figure out” the symptom,

You kept getting the same results,

Because the CORE problem was never addressed.

And what if,

Once the CORE problem was identified,

The solution became easier,

It now seemed within reach,

It even seemed…dare I say….POSSIBLE to change the problem.

What IF you could view your symptoms as feedback,

And what if you could look beyond the symptoms to discover the REAL problem,

The root,

of the root,

of the root.

So instead of just pulling off the top of the dandelion head, you actually got to its root.

The core.

And then everything shifted?

Towards what you prefer.

More health.

More vitality.

Better sleep.

More intimacy and communication in your relationships.

More money.

A job you love?

It’s possible, I know its so 🙂
