The challenges that I personally find the most frustrating and certainly my clients agree
is a challenge that continues to persist
one that you think you finally conquered
you think it’s finally done…
fiiiiiinally over,
Only to realize that it’s happened AGAIN.
a recurring challenge.
a pattern,
This is probably one of the most devastating problems.
For example…
you think you finally lost the weight and you’re gonna keep it all off
only to see yourself six weeks later with your hand in the Dorito bag
and all of your lost weight back on the scale.
ugh.
Or maybe you keep attracting the same type of person in a relationship
you think you finally got rid of that (insert swear word)
only to find 6 weeks later,
he’s THE SAME AS YOUR EX
ugh.
Or maybe your repeat pattern shows up in your finances,
you get more clients,
more money seems to keep coming in,
and then, all of a sudden,
from seemingly out of nowhere,
a big expense comes in
the clients disappear
and you’re back to where you started
double ugh!
Can you relate to this?
Is there an area in your life where you just continually create the same pattern over and over again?
If this is you, I can totally relate.
I’ve had recurring challenges in ALL areas of my life,
from my health,
my money,
and most definitely my relationships
(more on this to come in future posts)
and gosh,
a recurring and repeating pattern is
SO FRUSTRATING!
At least for me they were.
Until I had a few key discoveries
That helped me see why the patterns were occuring
why they were showing up
revealing how my “problem”
was actually a solution
to a deeper underlying core problem
and then I was able to shift it.
and I wanted to share a few of these discoveries with you.
What I found out is that, often when there is a repeating pattern,
1. In 99% of the clients I’ve worked with, there are suppressed emotions, old programming and beliefs, usually coming from childhood that haven’t been processed. So they persist until you fully integrate them.
2. I also discovered that there is often a larger picture at play. I see this a lot in family dynamics. The family or “system” as a whole, has its own recurring patterns and unintegrated emotions, and beliefs. And this also affects the individual. Not so straightforward.
And once I got present to this,
aware of the unconscious within myself,
and the larger picture,
that’s when I was able to shift the patterns
and this was really cool.
The first step in solving any persistent problems is…
Get present.
Become present to your life.
Your emotions, thoughts, conclusions you’ve made about….
health,
money,
relationships,
yourself,
others,
etc.
And notice if these thoughts are yours,
or if they are beliefs someone has taught you,
and ask yourself…
“Is this true?”
AND, do you want to keep this belief?
Is it serving you in getting more of what you want?
If not, drop it.
And then repeat.
This is how you begin to shift the persistent, recurring, stubborn patterns in your life.
If you’re reading this and feeling frustrated or defeated about a repeating challenge or problem in your own life,
I want to reassure you that no matter what the challenge is,
you can shift it
not matter how many times it has happened
and it all starts with making the decision to go inwards
to see how this problem is being created
and when you do, cool things can happen
you are literally one present breath away from changing your entire life,
so just choose.
decide it’s time
decide you’re are going to follow through.
You got this… You always did
