How many times per day do you get that feeling of guilt….. that you should be doing something different other than what you are ACTUALLY doing?
Maybe it’s about what you’re going to eat…….you’d prefer the delicious Indian food on the cool rooftop patio, and probably a Prosseco to go with it, over the same boring a$$ chicken salad you eat Mon-Fri. I mean there are only SO MANY WAYS to spice up your chicken to make it taste different and palatable.
Or how little you are exercising…I mean, you DID go for a 30 minute walk today, but you just don’t have the energy, time or motivation to go to that yoga class, or strength training you KNOW you need to do – especially after your doctor gave YOU the guilt trip about how your blood pressure is getting higher. You think to yourself “I just can’t be bothered”
Or maybe you think you should have called your good friend because you know…..it has been too long since you’ve chatted and you know she is going through a hard time right now. However YOU’RE just feeling SO tapped out, you just don’t have the energy to hold space for someone else – and you possibly think, “I’m being selfish and I’m such a bad friend”.
Or maybe you think you should be on top of your work. The emails, messages and to-do lists continue to pile up and you are REALLY starting to feel the pressure of other people and their expectations of when these action items should be done. But HELLO, don’t they see you are doing two people’s jobs all at once while juggling 8 balls in the air on a wobble board with a broken ankle?!
Or maybe you feel like you should be spending more time with your partner. You’ve been so caught up with work, kids, the family you actually haven’t taken the time to sit down and fully be present with him/her and show him how much you really care about and love him.
Or maybe you feel like you should be doing more cleaning around the house – tidying it up to look *a little* more presentable for when your guests come over so they don’t think you are living in your old college dorm room.
Or maybe you just saw a post online about self care and you think to yourself, “how do people have time to actually take care of themselves?!”. I barely have time to THINK about eating and go to the bathroom.
Or maybe you just feel you should be doing something different, maybe even feeling a little lost….yet don’t know wtf to actually do. Because it is all just so overwhelming.
All so exhausting.
All so consuming.
And then the day ends, and just like groundhog day, you are back on the wheel.
Back in the rat race.
Back in the ladder climbing.
Back to exhaustion,
and mediocre results.
And mediocre joy.

Take a moment right now…..take a deep breath…..and just notice how all the *shoulds* feel in your body when you think of them.
(keep breathing….)
If you’re like me, your pile of *shoulds* could feel….

exhausting.
frustrating.
panicky.
overwhelming.
contracting.
annoying.
AND….never-ending.
Now….take another breath….
AND…
JUST. LET. IT. GO.
All of it.
As if you can just shake it off.
And all of the BS,
just literally FALLS OFF.
Let it fall off like the rust from your 2006 sebring
(drop a like if you know what I’m taking about here! lol)
If you’re like me, you also know there is a different way.
A way that feels,
Lighter,
expanding,
uplifting,
exciting,
and even, fuck yes.
And this is the zone I play in.
This is how I designed my life.
To be in the energy of *hell yes*
To be in the flow of ME

that are essentially requirements to FEEL alive.
to feel like I’m getting to be me

my way
in the way I see it
