Is there a negative habit you have?
Or some behaviour you keep repeating, that you wish you could just stop?
And you’ve tried everything….
You’ve literally exhausted all ways to change….
Whether it’s in your health, money or relationships…
you still keep repeating this habit over and over again….
getting the same results?
you feel frustrated…angry, sad, maybe even defeated.
And you might think and even say to yourself, “what’s wrong with me?!”
If this is you, I feel you.
Changing a chronic behaviour can be complex.
And where most people get stuck is trying to solve the habit with their mind.
Maybe you tried sheer will power.
Which often isn’t effective.
Maybe you got an accountability buddy.
And that works, until the challenges really begin to surface.
What I have found to be the most effective way to shift a behavior,
is to get into the body.
This is where you have ACCESS to your nervous system.
You see, everything is RUN by your nervous system
your neural networks,
your programming,
literally everything!
So trying to mentally “figure it out”, or solve a problem,
that your mind probably created in the first place…
Or trying to have sheer will power….often is just plain ineffective.
Essentially it’s like trying to stop an avalanche from happening by getting a bunch of people at the bottom of the hill, to stand in a line, and use sheer force to push the snow upwards.
Ain’t going to work.
Your behaviours are programmed,
they are automatic,
and they live in your nervous system,
so to access change,
access your body,
therein lies new possibilities for change.
